[Thursday Club] – 30 Days of YOU

Happy Fri-YAY!

Can you even believe July is OVER – I mean come on – what the heck just happened???

Tomorrow we are packing up Tillie, going to buy massive amounts of sticky buns (don’t ask) and saying good-bye to Amish land.  It’s time to head home to the Mother Land of Connecticut.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone but I’m not looking forward to the structure and worrying about safety.  We’ve been so isolated and “safe” being in our RV – hell we don’t see anyone!  Back home everyone and their mother wants to see us – and we want to see them! So now it’s time to navigate and join the world of The Covid Cootie Prevention Zones.

Anyway – that’s me – let’s talk about YOU!

In August we will be working on the 30 Days of YOU.  I’ve done this several times and it’s so awesome – I mean really awesome!

We are diving into how to take 30 days to create a new habit or trash an old one – CLICK HERE to see the post.

What you choose to focus on is 100% up to you.  I started mine by doing 5K a day – run or walk.  It’s now morphed into doing #100MilesinAugust – I just finished my July one.  I just feel good over the accomplishment – so now those miles are just part of who I am and what I do.

I created a HABIT

In August I’m going to master the damn push up.  My upper body strength sucks because I haven’t been working on it at all! So here I go.  By the end of 30 days, I want to be able to do 25 pushups without dying.  So each day I’m going to work on them until I can’t – so tomorrow I’m hoping for at least 5.  They have to be good ones – so no knees.  

Here’s the challenge. Give me 30 Days of commitment on anything.

Here are some ideas…

  • Drinking 100 oz of water a day
  • Walking 5K a day
  • No smoking – let’s kick that habit!
  • Track what you eat
  • No refined sugar in your diet – goodbye Little Debbies
  • No excess spending – or track every penny you spend
  • Do some type of personal development every day – read, listen to a podcast
  • Organize something in your house daily – so by the end of the 30 voila!

Grab some accountability buddies and let’s go!!!  Put your intentions out to the world on Social media – and post your updates!! Trust me – that so works!!
