That’s a wrap on the Insider’s version of Rich Dad Poor Dad’s cash flow quadrants – curious as to where your mind is now?
Do you see the vision? Are you considering moving away from Employee status?
Entrepreneur Life
Some people will argue that we all have an entrepreneurial gene built in us – it goes back to surviving. If we “have to” – most of us figure out a way to put food in our belly and a roof over our head. Some of us find that easier than others – but when push comes to shove most can step up to be chief cook and bottle washer.
The question is “Are you living up to your true potential?” PS – Most of us aren’t. It’s hard to do it, it’s uncomfortable and downright scary at times to rise up and be the best we can be.
In yesterday’s email, I talked about the importance of taking a break and how I’ve spent the last several years structuring my life and companies so I can be more in the right quadrant – earning a living while not trading time for money. It’s been a process, it hasn’t always been easy – but trust me when I tell you it’s worth it. I’m still on the journey to focus and do ONLY the things that I love – I know I won’t hit 100% because sometimes you have to do the ugly to get to the beautiful and that’s ok.
I totally get that being an employee is easier – in an essence it’s a rote process. You get up, you go to work, you come home. I know that’s generalizing and many of my readers have jobs that aren’t super structured but my point is you pretty much know what to do and how much you are being compensated for that “do”.
Entrepreneur life is different. There is no cap on your income, your day isn’t structured and there is no way to KNOW what you’ll be doing the next day because things can shift in a nanosecond.
Does the thought of that give you utter anxiety? If so – deep breaths and focus on the long term. And for the love of all things Peet’s Coffee – go back and do the 7 Levels Deep exercise and the Ikigai process to uncover what really makes you tick, what brings you joy, and where you should be headed in life.
Entrepreneur life is out there for you – you just have to take the leap of faith on YOU to get there.
Next month in The Thursday Club I’m sharing how Dave and I plotted and planned our way to full-time Nomadic Living. Tune in if you are interested!
Cheers from St. Augustine Florida – working at the beach ain’t too shabby!
