[THURSDAY CLUB] Let’s get paid

Happy Friday!

It’s week 3 of our Ikigai journey (LINK TO WORKSHEET) – if you missed the past two weeks of emails you can find them on the inside HERE.

I hope you’ve spent some time determining what you LOVE and what you are GOOD at because this week we are focusing on what we can get paid for.  This is the BIG circle that intersects with your Profession and your Vocation.

Your vocation is what the world needs and what you can be paid for. Your profession is what you can be paid for and what you’re good at.

In order to find true happiness, you must have enough money to not only survive but to never worry about having enough money/resources to get things you need and desire. You ultimately want to obtain that income from doing something that is truly your passion – something that doesn’t FEEL like work.

What most people miss is that money is EASIER to make than you think.  There are millions upon billions of dollars out there, it’s up to you to go get them.

If you are living paycheck to paycheck you are living in a world of limited resources – you aren’t being resourceful, and I can 99% say with confidence you aren’t living your true purpose – there’s something missing.  You are also probably living in FEAR of going for what you want.

Let’s figure this out!

  1. Think Abundantly.  Remember the word “Can’t” does NOT live in Cindy World.  If you think you can’t live in abundance you are right – you never will.  Stop thinking you will always be in a state of having less money than you need or want.
  2. How are you making money now – is it working for you? Does it bring you joy and fulfillment? If not WHY?  Are you with the wrong company, the wrong industry?  If you work for yourself, why are you not fulfilled??
  3. Debt – The key is getting rid of it – obviously! Write down all your debt and figure out how much each month you need to pay it off in a specific timeframe.  Now get a side hustle to make it happen.  There are a MILLION ways to make an extra $1000 a month – legally.   Do some homework – it’s called Google, and talking with your friends and colleagues – or me.
  4. NOW – Dream Job/Career. What is it?  Seriously what is it – because you are going to write it down and create a path to make that happen.  THIS is what Ikigai is ultimately all about.  Doing what you love – so write it down. What do you need to do to make that happen?

Next week we are bringing this all together.  Your Passion, Mission, Profession, and Vocation will intersect…your ikigai will be uncovered.
