We have to SHIFT

I don’t know about you, but this week just flew by and was super crazy!  COVID-19, full moon, Friday the 13th – everything combined? I’m not sure, I just know it was jam-packed with a lot of fire drills and nothing turned out the way it was supposed to.

The doomsday preppers must be having a field day as they live for this shit.  Seriously – jumping up and down laughing at everyone running to Walmart in search of the last package of Charmin.  Jenn actually told me that her mom saw fighting at Costco – seriously crazy times.

I’m not making light of COVID-19, in fact, I’m in the “we need to take this very serious” boat, but I’m not sitting home obsessing about it or freaking out about all the what-ifs.

Why am I calm during the storm?  Because certain things are out of our control.  We need to adapt and shift.

I know for some that isn’t easy – but when you are forced to turn your life upside down due to a global emergency you need to.  You don’t have a choice.

Next week during our Thursday Call we will be talking with Deene Morris of Inspire Leadership – as we walk through how to honor our superpowers and those of others.  It’s often not easy dealing with an extreme extrovert if you are an introvert – just ask my Dave (he’s the introvert).  It’s not easy in a work environment when you have someone who is the obvious alpha dog and you can’t get in a word edgewise.

We need to learn how to stand up and be heard AND honor the space around others.  We need to learn how to shift our thinking – open our minds and souls.

When you can do that – magic happens.

When you can shift from it being all about YOU to all about US – magic happens

When you can shift from a thought process of taking to one of giving – magic happens.

I just had this convo with Deene yesterday as we discussed how my business exploded when I put forth the mindset of bringing in a million in revenue this year.  She kept digging for details on how I shifted…

I told her when I want something I’m relentless and my mind just takes over but so does my posture. Here’s what I told Deene and how I shifted.

  1. I set the intention that I would bring in an additional million in revenue in 2020 – the goal was to pay off all my debt at Red Barn and personally by end of the year.
  2. I said it out loud, I told people – I began my process of manifesting what I want.  Yes – may sound new agey to some – but what you put forth, comes back.  I believe that to the core of my soul.
  3. I opened myself up to coaching and new ideas.
  4. I opened myself up to learning – I began listening to more podcasts, reading more books on the subjects of growth, wealth, serving and happiness.
  5. I got my planner out and wrote down my three words:  FREEDOM, KNOWLEDGE, COURAGE – I look at them EVERY SINGLE DAY.
  6. I stopped my limiting beliefs that I couldn’t do it – and shifted to I’ve got this.
  7. I re-looked at my income streams – what was working and what wasn’t – I shifted where I needed to.
  8. I began connecting with people who I know have achieved what I wanted – and I asked them how they got there – I began looking for mentors.
  9. I wake up every day grateful for my life.
  10. I’ve learned to shift negative thoughts into positive ones – I’m making lemonade where I need to.

These 10 shifts have been game changers.

If you want to change YOU need to change.  There is no other way.

See you next week – don’t forget to dive in and do your homework and we’ve added a forum to post questions, get feedback.

The seven levels deep exercise is a MUST – you need to do it.  Post your results in the forum!
