Your Preferences and Powers
It’s time to shift.
Yesterday we had an amazing call with my pal and client – Deene Morris of Inspire Leadership. She helped us – yea, me included – discover our preferences and why that’s important.
BTW – I’m a fox. I kind of like that. 🙂
Watch the REPLAY HERE.
Grab the worksheets from Deene HERE.
Here’s the homework:
Watch the video and review the worksheets.
Identify which preference you are. If you are struggling to figure that out – post some notes in the Forum HERE and we can walk through it with you!
Next, do the following – I’m sharing my answers to show you how damn simple this is:
Identify what brings you energy and what can you do without thinking?
- For me – I can talk in public, hop on a podcast and creatively write (like this) for hours without thinking, without stress, without anxiety. I just DO.
Identify what sucks the damn life out of you?
- For me I love to big picture think, strategize, motivate and kick ass – I can shift from one thing to another in a nano-second and I get bored even quicker. What sucks the life out of me is structure (hello working for the man – ugh), and implementing rote processes. Nope – not today Satan.
Identify your talents? We’ve talked about this A LOT – but write them down AGAIN
- I’m an incurable optimist and there isn’t a pragmatic bone in my body. I see the sunshine where others see rain. I don’t get stressed easily – if there is a Zombie Apocalypse – Hello Covid19 – you want me there.
- I can see the big picture AND I can see the roadblocks that exist
- I’m a left and right brain – I can create a process and I can paint.
- I can write – and I’m pretty good at it.
- Give me a microphone and God help the world.
Drum roll……..the big conclusion:
Notice I didn’t talk about what I suck at. BECAUSE IT DOESN’T MATTER. What you should recognize are things that suck the life out of you – outsource that. I’m not opposed to learning new things but if you spend 5 hours writing an article that takes me 20 minutes then perhaps writing isn’t your thing and you should hire that out. UNLESS you want to hone your writing skills and you enjoy it. See the difference?
Get rid of what you hate, focus on what you love.
Shift. Pivot. Shift. Pivot.
NOW – what can you do with all of that?
How can you serve others with all of that?
How can you monetize all of that?
I 100% guarantee you that someone needs what you have. 100%.
Now is the time to shift.
Now is the time to Innovate.
Now is the time to be resourceful.
I’m not obsessing over COVID-19 – I’m finding the sunshine. I’ve prepared. I’m Zombie Apocalypse ready yet I’m not hiding in my shell.
Share your story – and Let’s GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Namaste
