It’s Moving Day

Morning – and happy Friday!

Just a quick note to you before I pack up Tillie the RV and head down towards San Antonio  – goodbye Austin you’ve been fun!

I bet you are a lot like me in that you’ve joined a few masterminds, taken tons of courses and then…you don’t act.  It’s ok, it’s a pretty common phenomenon especially for people like “us” who love to learn and connect!

Here’s the deal – I’m not letting you off the hook.  Nope – not happening – you aren’t going to pay me money each month and not get something out of it that moves your needle to where you need it to be.

  1. If you haven’t done the homework you need to. Buy a journal, do the daily gratitude entries, complete the Seven-Levels Deep exercise AND write down what REALLY makes you happy.  DO IT.
  2. What is the ONE thing you want to accomplish in the next 30 days? Just one thing.  It could be cleaning out your closet, or shoveling off your desk, or going to the gym, or signing up for your first 5K.  WRITE IT IN YOUR JOURNAL and put the date you want it done by. Then DO IT.
  3. What is ONE thing on the “This makes me happy list” That you want to do TODAY?  Write it in your Journal and then DO IT.

You see, when you take action you feel accomplished.  When you feel accomplished you feel good about yourself.

 What will derail you:

I just wrote about Momentum Crash in my Thursday email – and this aligns.  If you didn’t read the email go back and find it.  Beyond those big ones – here are some other things that will just get in your way:

  1. Clutter and Chaos. There is something to be said for getting rid of the clutter. Clutter and mess are stress-inducing.  You need a calming place to think, work, create, meditate and just be.  If your house is a disaster (it’s ok – I’m not judging – I’ve been there) – just clean one room today.  Then do another tomorrow or Sunday.
  2. Purge what you don’t need or use – and be done with it if it doesn’t bring you joy. Hello Marie Kondo – buy the book, read the book, and follow the process.  It works.  You don’t need a piece of Tupperware your mother owned in 1962- especially if it’s been sitting in a box since 1963.  Goodbye!
  3. Give yourself a break and honor “me time”. We need rest, we need calm, we need alone time to reflect and just be.  Again – having a calming space helps this.  So…if you are a neat freak (God bless you!) and are exhausted – no one will die if the dishes aren’t done or the laundry isn’t folded.  Trust me – no one will die.

So it’s MOVING DAY!

You are moving whatever you need to move to get you where you want to go.

If you don’t CHANGE.  Nothing will CHANGE.

Do the work.  Make the change.  Reap the benefits.

Oh – call me if you need to.  Here’s my calendar.
