[ThursdayClub] – Fear or Freedom?
“I won’t let others stoke fear in my heart. I choose to remain true to who I am and where my dreams direct me, no matter the hardship I might incur. I remember it always: Fear or Freedom wins, and I choose Freedom.” Brendon Burchard.
Hope you had some big AHA moments this month working on one of your overcoming FEAR bucket list items. I want you to read Brendon Burchard’s quote again – and again – because damn, it’s powerful.
Here’s what it means to me.
Remember I said that often what we fear is intimately connected to goals we have – when you really are honest with yourself and choose to dig deep.
When you let go of fear – you become free within yourself.
As always, these monthly exercises are built selfishly around things I’ve either gone through in the past, am currently dealing with or often they are an ongoing process. I dealt with a few scary things this month – and worked hard to face them, create a plan to overcome them and then I did it!
And yes, I feel a sense of release and freedom.
Staying in the fear zone makes you often feel “less” about yourself – all that shitty guilt and self-talk like “Why can everyone else do this and I can’t?” – yea, been there done that and I’m sure it won’t be the last time I catch myself in that zone of “Why me?”
That’s the fear talking.
No matter what you are struggling with right now – there is something you fear that is intimately tied to what you want. Find it, get rid of it.
Will it be scary? Of course, it’s something you fear.
Will it be worth it? You know it.
Remember in life each part of the journey you learn lessons. As you grow those moments become your NEW NORMAL as you level up.
Don’t dwell on the past, but don’t forget how hard you worked to get there. Remember what scared you in the past and you overcame it – that feeling is powerful.
You are stronger than you think.
Have an awesome weekend! Tune-in Monday because in February we are talking about Health and Self-Care and how it is DEEPLY connected to success. I’m starting another #30DaysofCindy because one, it’s fun and two it keeps me centered.
This isn’t about going on a diet – this is about looking at your lifestyle and making small adjustments daily that make you feel better. When you FEEL better you ARE better – and that makes us more efficient and effective in achieving what we desire.
